Cappamore vs Murroe Boher
2 : 06 – 1 : 09
2018-07-25 / 7 15 PM / Cappamore
The boys headed into the match needing to avoid defeat in order to progress to the Quarter Final stages. On the night they did just enough to achieve this. Cappamore dominated the early exchanges but failed to turn possession into scores. With Cappamore leading by 4 points to 2, Murroe got a goal against the run of play and the momentum shifted in their favour, with them leading at half time on a scoreline of 1-6 to 1-4. The second half started like the first with the boys leading the possession stakes and went into a 2 point lead. However as the game entered the final quarter, Cappamore found it very difficult to clear their lines as Murroe took over. Some determined defending by the boys was needed to ensure they got the required draw on the night.
Thanks to team manager Con Hayes for match report.

Cappamore vs Cill Mocheallòg
5 : 13 – 6 : 09
2018-07-23 / 7 15 PM / Cappamore
Cappamore under 16s played Kilmallock in a nail biting match at home last Monday evening. Cappamore started well with three nice points from Eoin Smith. Then kilmallock hit with three of their own to draw level until Michael Gleeson hit the net to swing the momentum in our favour at one stage leading 4-10 to 2-05. In the last fifteen minutes kilmallock battled hard and came close but credit to our backs we held on for the win.

Wednesday 18 July 2018
On an evening where the boys never seemed to get going, we only trailed at half time by a point. However as the second half progressed, momentum built for the home side and they seemed to create scores with relative ease. The boys rallied towards the end and fired 2 quick goals but it wasn’t enough on the evening.
On Thursday evening in Caherconlish, our U13 Hurlers had their first competive game of the year. The home side started the brighter but the Cappamore back line held firm. As the game opened up, Cappamore created some fine chances and some good scores were taken to lead at half time by 2-2 to 0-2. The second half saw Cappamore beginning to dominate the middle sector of the field and more fine scores followed. A good win on the evening by a youthful Cappamore side to finish 6-4 to 1-4.
