St Stephen’s Day Charity Walk:

A charity Walk will take place in the forestry in Crehane Cappamore (end of Kyle Rd… V94 N1WC)- it will be signposted from the village on the day. There will be 3 options/distance to walk 3.5km 7km and 9km. Walk starts at 12pm sharp so please be there for 11.45 am at the latest to allow time for parking. Parking is limited so please car pool as much as possible. A bus will be provided to bring people from an overflow parking area below the starting point. It will be signposted on the day. All monies raised will go to Cancer Research and St Michaels Day Care Centre Cappamore. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates. The building is nearly fully occupied with 4 children attending local primary school and some attending Cappamore Campus all are doing very well. Limerick County Council in conjunction with Cappamore/Kilmallock area councillors and Housing Association will host a welcome morning in community centre when building is fully occupied we will keep people updated on same To date it is all families that is being housed.

Cappamore St Michael’s Church Lotto Results

Ballyhoura Development is currently looking for 8 young people aged 18-30 who are interested in volunteering in their local community to participate in pilot training across 2023.

The Training will include a trip to Italy, where young people will have the opportunity to meet other young people from across Europe and participate in community-led local development focused workshops, activities and the development of a Tool Kit and policy paper.

How to apply?

In order to apply for this opportunity, a young person aged 18-30 will need to supply the following:

• Letter of Sponsorship from a local community group in the Ballyhoura area. The young person will be expected to work with the local community group to implement their learning. The letter should outline why the community group thinks the young person is suitable and what volunteering opportunities are available for this young person.
• CV of young person outlining their education and experience.
• Application letter from the young person detailing why they think they are suitable, their experience, why they want to volunteer in their local community and why they want to participate in this programme.
