1973 Keeping The Dream Alive:
The official launch of “1973 Keeping The Dream Alive – The Story Of Limerick’s Historic All Ireland Success 50 Years On” takes place on Sunday, 5 November in Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel, Adare from 6PM. Pallasbeg-born James Lundon is the lead author with Liam O’Brien and Niall Deegan the other co-authors of this 528 page A4-sized effort. It chronicles the hurling year of 1973 and Limerick’s seminal Liam MacCarthy success, the first in 33 years. The book retails at E30 and will be available in many local shops in the run-up to Christmas. Net profits will be donated to two Limerick charities, The Children’s Ark and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Many of the 1973 players will attend the launch. All are welcome to attend.
