Cappamore Show:

The first quarter of 2024 saw a number of events take place for the Cappamore show committee. Our AGM was held on the 24th January. The following officers were re-elected John McCarthy Chairperson and John Hassett Secretary. New officers elected were Bríd Dillon Treasurer and Catherine O’Brien PRO. We would like to thank the outgoing officers PJ Blackwell Treasurer and Maura Walsh PRO. A cheque in the sum of €1,150 was presented to Cappamore Day Care Centre as part of the proceeds from our 2023 raffle. The 2024 Charity will be announced shortly. Mass for our deceased members took place on Saturday 24th February followed by refreshments in O’Dwyers Bar. The night was enjoyed by all members in attendance and many thanks to O’Dwyers Bar for hosting same. We were delighted to be able to enter a float in both the Tipperary Town and Newport St. Patricks Day Parades. Both parades were a huge success and a special thank you to show members Willie Berkery and Gita Krigerie who attended on the day. Work is already underway behind the scenes in preparation for show day 2024 on the 17th August so be sure to mark the date in your diaries. New members are always welcome.
