Cappamore Celtic FC:

The Halloween disco going ahead on Friday 25 October in Community hall from 6.30 to 8pm. €5 per child. All are welcome to this great event. Music is provided by our own local DJ Francis and there will be spot prizes for best dressed boy and girl on the night. Please support this fun annual event.

Cappamore GAA and Camogie club Lotto.

Green and Gold Lotto draw was held on Monday October 7th for Jackpot of €2200 and there was one winner. Congratulations to our winner, Rory Gleeson, Kyle.

Cappamore Historical Society:

Are hosting a lecture by Winnie Davern on Wednesday October 23rd at 7.30pm in Cappamore Community Centre (small hall). The title of the lecture is “A study of the concerns of everyday life for a Limerick family in the early twentieth century”.

Historical Society lecture.

Cappamore Celtic FC:

Congratulations too to Catherine Kennedy who won the most recent August Spilt the Bucket draw, which was held in the O Dwyer’s Lounge. The winning ticket was pulled Darragh and it was worth €510. Community Meeting:

This meeting in the Community Hall on Wednesday the 9th of October 2024 at 20:00. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Convent Building and the proposed new lease. If you have any concerns, please attend the meeting.

O Dwyer’s Coffee Morning:

There were incredible funds raised by Kathleen and extended team at O Dwyer’s bar and lounge for the local hospice Milford Care Centre. €3435 was delivered to Milford during the week and would like to thanks everyone in the community that supported this very worthy cause.

Interested in being a Director in Cappamore Housing Association ?

Cappamore Housing Association currently have three vacant positions on the Board of Directors. We are therefore inviting expressions of interest from residents of the parish, who have an interested in becoming board members. While not mandatory, previous involvement with a community group or club would be desirable, as it would demonstrate the applicant’s interest in their community and in the development of facilities. Applicants must be resident in the parish of Cappamore and have an interest in the provision of social housing. Other essential qualities of potential board members would include:

⦁ Understanding of your community and its needs
⦁ Passion for your cause
⦁ Willingness to commit time for board meetings, committee meetings, planning sessions, special events
⦁ Team player – work well in a group
⦁ Direct and unbiased

As the association currently has a gender imbalance, with an inclusively male membership, we would especially appreciate applications from female members of our community.
If you believe you meet the above criteria then please forward your written expression of interest to Thomas Ryan, Housing Association Secretary, within the next two weeks.
