Also best of luck to club players who play football with Pallasgreen Sarsfields, Aine Dillon, Niamh Mulcahy, Aoibhe Rodahan, Rachel Caher, Hannah Dillon, Hannah Ryan, Kaelin Ryan, Molly Ryan, who play in the 13 a side U14 county football final vs Old Mill Newcastlewest Wednesday 4th of September.

U14 Championship Hurling
Cappamore 1-2 vs 0-3 Patrickswell
Played in Cappamore on Tuesday 27th vs Patrickswell, great game, great result, this was a top of the table clash and it lived up to the label. Rough, tough and physical where scores were very hard to come by. Missed chances and great defence from both teams made it a tough night for players and coaches. We came out on top 1-2 vs 0-3. We finished top of the group and qualified for the division 2 County final. Due to other results on the night we will have to do it all again as Patrickswell finished second in the group. Date and venue for final to be confirmed.

Limerick Academy Hurling
Under age academy matches took place last weekend with many of our Cappamore Hurlers involved.
Ultan Hogan, Mike Fitzgibbon and Sean Hayes were involved with Limerick in the All Ireland U15s hurling competition held at holycross and Boherlahann.
Arron Roulston who is part of the Limerick U14 Hurling team played in an inter County tournament in Waterford.
Seán Whelan played in the All Ireland U16 tournament in Mallow GAA grounds.

Intermediate Camogie match v Bruff
Cappamore vs Bruff
Sunday 1 September
Cappamore started very brightly and had Bruff under a lot of pressure in the first 20 minutes but failed to put enough scores on scoreboard.
Then just before halftime following a good save from Anna Ryan Cappamore failed to clear the ball and Bruff scraped the ball in for a scrappy goal. We went into the break a point down.
Both teams went at it for a very entertaining second half. With 3 minutes injury time left on the clock Cappamore were 3 points down. However the girls got it back level and with the last Puck of the game went ahead and held out for a great win. Fantastic team effort and deserved win.

Eileen Leonard Memorial
On behalf of the Leonard family thank you to all who supported the Fun Day last Saturday. Thank you also to the many volunteers.
It was a huge success and no doubt it will be penciled into the GAA diary for next year.

U14 championship
First round played 13th of August vs Granagh/Ballingarry. A very below par performance on the night never getting to the pace of the game losing 3-3 to 2-2.
Round 2 away to kilmallock on the 20th, a vastly improved display by the girls, some early scores settled us and calmed the nerves building a good lead at half time 3-5 to 0-2. As expected kilmallock came back at us strongly at the start of the second half but we held out for an impressive win 4-6 to 2-3.
Round 3 away to BlackRock/Effin on the 22nd we took control of the game from the throw-in and led from the start. There were some great passages of play between the girls from the backs through midfield and into the forwards and some great scores taken. We won on a score of 4-9 to 2-6.
Round 4 takes place in Cappamore on Tuesday the 27th at 6:30pm vs Patrickswell.
