Cappamore County Community Games:

Well done to all our Cappamore Swimmers who swam in the County Community Games Swimming Gala in Nenagh on Sunday 16 April. This was our first gala after a 3 year break and first time to competition for our swimmers. Excellent swims by everyone. Training took place in UL, Tipperary and Nenagh swimming pools. U10 Backcrawl 25m – Lily Mullins (4th), U12 Freestyle 50m – Eoghan Mulligan, U12 Freestyle 50m – Kate Sheehy, U14 Freestyle Molly Slattery – 50m (2nd), Thanks to Limerick Community Games for a great event and to all the parents and helpers along the way. Team Coordinators: Veronica Walsh and Jacintha Mullins.

The following officers were elected at AGM of Development Association President : Oliver Dillion, Vice President : Jerry Duggan, Chairperson : Pat Fogarty, Vice Chairpersons : Nuala Walsh, Josephine O Donoghue, Secretary : Gerald Lynch, Assistant Secretary and P.R.0 Tommie Ryan, Treasurer Noel Gleeson, Assistant Treasurer , P.J.Blackwell, Hall and Shop Manager : Patricia Daly, Bingo Manager : Jerry Duggan. The meeting was full of complements to outgoing Secretary Ollie Dillion, who gave over 30 years of service as Secretary .We wish our new Secretary Gerald Lynch best wishes in his new position.

Cappamore Youth Choir.

Cappamore Youth Choir will hold its next rehearsal on Thursday, 20th April from 8 to 9 o’clock in St. Michael’s Church. The choir will sing at the 7.30 evening Mass on Saturday, 22nd April. The choir is open to all senior students from Primary school, all Secondary School students and, in fact, to all who are young at heart. So why not join us in the Choir Gallery for the rehearsal and the Mass? Come along and let’s get together with music and song!
