What was a lovely evening for hurling in Knocklong, Cappamore started the game brightly with the excellent Liam Creamer firing over a free and a 65 and the ever young Kieran Hickey pointing from play. U14 Football Division2 Semi Final
Belville Gaels vs Cappamore
2 : 07 – 4 : 02
Referee : Jason Mullins
2018-09-29 / 1 30 PM / Mick Neville Park
Played in Rathkeale in a field that Cappamore rarely return victorious from. The boys put in a resilient performance to edge past Belville Gaels by 1 point.
With Belville starting the brighter and ever threatening, they only scored 1 point before the efficient Cappamore forwards got going and struck 2 goals in quick succession. The game ebbed and flowed but the lead was never relinquished by our boys. Some stout defending was needed throughout but Cappamore prevailed to meet Galbally in the county final.

South Liberties vs Cappamore

Disappointment all round but a great effort by our senior team. Against the odds Cappamore should have come away with a win which would have secured senior status for 2019.
Losing by the smallest of margins three last minute efforts that failed to split the posts added to the disappointment on the night. Full report to follow next week.
