U14 Football and Hurling Championship
Galbally 2-13 V Cappamore 3-2.
Wednesday 18 July 2018
On an evening where the boys never seemed to get going, we only trailed at half time by a point. However as the second half progressed, momentum built for the home side and they seemed to create scores with relative ease. The boys rallied towards the end and fired 2 quick goals but it wasn’t enough on the evening.
On Thursday evening in Caherconlish, our U13 Hurlers had their first competive game of the year. The home side started the brighter but the Cappamore back line held firm. As the game opened up, Cappamore created some fine chances and some good scores were taken to lead at half time by 2-2 to 0-2. The second half saw Cappamore beginning to dominate the middle sector of the field and more fine scores followed. A good win on the evening by a youthful Cappamore side to finish 6-4 to 1-4.

Cappamore GAA Leader Notes

U16 Hurling Championship 2B
13 July 2018
Venue: Na Piarsaigh
Na Piarsaigh 4-11 V 2-13 Cappamore
Due to injuries and holidays Cappamore started without five from our regular team. Some of our extended panel stepped up and did themselves proud in their absence.
Na Piarsaigh started well with early goals which gave Na Piarsaigh a score of 3-6 to 0-6 at half time.
Cappamore responded in the second half with accurate free taking from the Hurley of Liam O’Donnell and great pressure from PJ Hogan at centre field.
Cappamore looked the better team in the second half and only for time running out would have surely come out on top.
Thanks to team manager Conor O’Malley for match report.

U14 Hurling Championship
Cappamore 2-6 V 1-6 Knockainey
Cappamore got off to a fine start and aided by a strong breeze lead at half time by 2-4 to 3 points. With a much sterner test in the second half, Cappamore were pushed all the way by a Knockainey side that wouldn’t lie down. However with some stout defending and determined hurling from the likes of Donnacha Ryan L and Donnacha Hogan, the boys ran winners by a goal on the night.

Cúl Camp 2018
Well done to all 116 kids who took part in Cúl Camp Cappamore 2018.
A lot of hard work was carried out during the week by our coaches and volunteers. Thanks to all concerned.
