Cappamore ICA 45th Anniversary.
Cappamore ICA Guild celebrated its Sapphire Anniversary with a lovely leisurely lunch in Hayes’ Éibhle Restaurant on Sunday 20th January. Thirty members gathered to celebrate this special milestone in the history of the Guild. Guild President, Joan McLoughlin welcomed the members to the celebration. Annette Long, Limerick Federation President, was the guest of honour and she paid tribute to the Guild for its active participation in both Federation and National ICA events. She also presented long-standing Guild members with certificates to mark their continued involvement in the Guild and its activities. Nancy Ryan, past President, thanked President Joan, Secretary Mairéad McKenna and Treasurer Berna Bourke for all the work they had put into the event. A PowerPoint presentation by Maura Walsh, detailing in photos and words the very many activities, trips and events of the Guild down the years, was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The day finished with the cutting of the cake by the Guild officers. Laughter and chat filled the day and the sense of camaraderie present throughout the day is a great indicator that Cappamore ICA Guild is going from strength to strength.
